Linda Rowe Thomas (Fashion Designer)

Beyond The Surface

Linda Rowe Thomas

Miracles are what Linda Rowe Thomas's dreams are made of. The Texas born, self taught designer and mother of two, miraculously survived a house fire at the age of two years old which left her facially marred and absent one hand. However, she has not allowed those injuries to handicap her dreams or to be a platform for her talent. Instead, she has created her own opportunities for over 15 years in the fashion industry by working in management for notable fashion powerhouses.

Linda Rowe Thomas DesignWith the congenital desire to redefine glamour, Linda Rowe Thomas founded her company Romás. Eight years later, she made her grand entrance into fashion's mainstream by debuting the Romás collection at the Designer's Choice Fashion Preview alongside Project Runway finalists. Romás has premiered in the Los Angeles Fashion Circuit and at the Little Rock Fashion Week 2009. The collection was featured in February 2010 among "Designers to Watch" during the New York Fashion Week pre-show. Her Spring/Summer 2011 collection, which debuted in the 2010 Mercedes Benz Fashion week, was the culmination of her passion for sophisticated, ready to wear pieces with a Parisian flare.
Her collection infused two genres of fashion which very rarely collaborate well— couture and ready to wear. It is evident that Thomas’s self cited muse, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, is revered through her designs. Thomas completely understands a woman's body and the importance of using quality textiles such as, raw silk and charmeuse. With a degree in fashion merchandising and marketing from Murray State University, Linda Rowe Thomas masterfully exemplifies the importance of emphasizing sophisticated elegance— timeless classics and contemporary style.
Romás offers unique style, original content and natural appeal which highlights individuality for the wearer and the artistic imagination of the designer. Despite her preferred style, Linda Rowe Thomas understands the superfluity of options to consider when it comes to enhancing a woman’s wardrobe.
In addition to her invaluable fashion contributions, Linda Rowe Thomas is author of a novel entitled Mocha and she is also a motivational speaker. Her visible activism shows that she is fervently dedicated to causes greater than herself. The tragic accident that affected her as a toddler has served as the foundation for Thomas’s unwavering confidence and poise. She believes that we are not called to “see through each other, but to see each other through.” Thus her desire to passionately serve as a counselor and committee member for Camp Sunshine, an organization assisting burn victims.
Since the age of six, Linda was sure that she would always be where she is today and will continue to evolve with grace and dignity. This starlet is ready to take the throne among some of the world’s most noble fashion designers.
Time to watch her work. Lights.Camera.Fashion!
