Maverick Gaither

Maverick Gaither is a singer/songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. Gaither has been playing the saxophone since the age of 11 and performing in nightclubs since the age of 15. Gaither’s first experience as a recording artist was back in the 80’s with a two man group called “Friction”. Gaither states the first recording came out of the two men joking around and ended up creating a track called “Barbeque” followed by a more serious ballad that he and his father wrote called “Lovely With Your Fantasy”. Gaither was actually inspired to begin a singer career when he heard the voice of Luther Vandross. Going through a bit of a dry point, in 2012 Maverick released his first album “Be My Music” under Mavmani Music and produced by Gil Small who Maverick says is one of the best producers out there today.

Since 1990, Maverick has been the lead vocalist, saxophonist and master of ceremonies for New York Entertainment’s Central Park Orchestra. Other accomplishments include twice being named “Top Male Vocalist” in the US army, performing with greats such as Regina Belle, Teddy Pendergrass, Cheryl Pepsi Riley and many others.
